I am just bak with an interesting post… (I am sorry for not postin last week...i was spending time with my dad who has come home for GJ holidays...)
So frends...Tis week I thought to put some spotlight on “My life in Pondicherry”...in short as “Pondy”….presently as “Puducherry”...huh this name sucks na…
Well wat comes to my mind wen I hear the name “Pondicherry” is…wow...my native place…the place which has taken care of me for the past 21 yrs…I did my schooling and college there…From my childhood days, I always saw a stead-fast development in the city just like in myself…hahahha
The place which has taught me Folk dance (includes my first-stage performance), Classical Music ( Sa re Ga Ma Pa Tha Ne Saa) and took certain hindi classes for me( kya aapko hindi maalum hai?)…,finally gave certification in typewriting and AutoCAD.. All glory to Pondicherry..!!! Till my 7th std, I was just my mom’s kid..not knowing of places, not even the streets or road’s name…Later on , It was wen I joined CLUNY School, slowly I started to discover the already discovered Pondicherry with my skool friends..it was from my college 2nd yr, the year I joined hostel..Leavin behind my parents in b’lore...My discovery’s was at peak...
To start with, Pondicherry has a lovely beach that stretches with no ends… the sea crashing onto the rocks is such a beautiful sight!!Clean roads, a small parapet wall, sitting benches and recently constructed small bamboo tents for ppl 4 chit-chats…all make the beach an enjoyable place to visit. In short u’ll fall in love with Pondicherry beach at very first-sight..!!!

I have gone to beach many times with my hostel buddies and my group in class. I never hesitate to travel from kalapet (almost 8-9 kms away from town..!!) to beach..For most of us 
Gandhi statue is an attraction in the beach and it is our gathering place. There will b always one exhibition or the other selling all girlish items…. I luv to do shoppin over there!!!

I luv to do shoppin over there!!!With just 20 to 40 bucks, we can leave with our stomach full..I ve never left the beach without having at least a choco-bar (forgive me mom for not telling u!!!)…Low-cost snacks like mango slices with spicy powder, yummy potato chips, all chat items, mouth-watering icecreams rangin from kutch-ice ( in fact one of my close frends nick name is also
kutch-ice oly..tats is a different story..) to choco-bar.., sliced and salty cucumber, samosas, panchu muttai , sundal with small bytes of raw mango ( of course, lover’s special..Lol) all kinda’s of bajjis to bonda’s served vid spicy chill-sauce….hmmmmm…isn’t ur tongue watering now..One of my visits to beach with lavi, mano, reva, sriji, jyothi and dathi was the most treasured one...
We group of 9 gals in my class bunked classes and went to kalapet beach and also with hostel buddies I had gone to Auroville beach where v had (also DID..!!) lots of lotties…
Along ECR road also, we can see the wide spread Bay of Bengal. One day I and padma went a ride in a friend’s scooty in the full stretch of ECR road…Indeed an unforgettable ride!!
All range of hotels can be seen near the coastal area. And the most attracted one among ppl is 
Promenade which is a luxury 5STAR hotel. Do u no what was my b day gift frm my brother?? I can treat my friends in any hotel for the bill worth 1500 bucks!!! I was really flyin high on the eve of 4th Nov. I informed lavi and arundhathi and and atlast v decided @ midn9 to taste in Promenade!! we were amazed to see the interiors..We ate nicely for 1200 bucks. There is a 50-50 story behind tis treat..me, lavi and dathi will burst out in laughter wenever v remember 50-50( Ask me in person!!)
